Dementia Friends Massachusetts Champions
Lead the change. Grow understanding. Build dementia-friendly communities.
As a Dementia Friends Champion, you’ll be trained to lead free, 1-hour Information Sessions that help people understand what dementia is and the simple ways they can make a difference.
Attend a one-time, 3-hour Champion training via Zoom to:
- Experience an Information Session
- Learn to plan and lead your own session
- Access all the materials you need- also available in 9 languages and specialized versions
After becoming a Champion, you can participate in optional quarterly check-ins with fellow Champions across Massachusetts.
Who can be a Champion?
Anyone in Massachusetts — adult or high school student — can become a Dementia Friends Champion. No prior experience is needed.
As a Champion, you commit to leading at least one information session, but you choose:
- When and where to lead sessions
- How long you’d like to stay involved

Join us for the information session in the first hour and 15 minutes to become a Dementia Friend. Stay on for the remainder of the 3-hour meeting to become a Champion.
